Surviving to Thriving Program

Welcome to my brand new Surviving to Thriving the 4th Trimester & Beyond Program.

For babies from two weeks – pre-crawlers (or up to five months usually) & their caregivers are also welcome.

I created this program to help empower Mamas in the transition into Motherhood & empower Mamas intuition in mothering.

"Each time a baby is born, so is a Mother."

My program includes:

- Baby massage & hold techniques that support a settled baby

- Navigating infant communication & knowing how to engage

- Safe & sound responsive sleep practices that foster attachment & protect infant mental well-being

- Understanding colic behaviours & how to bring relief to your baby

- Empowering all feeding journeys & debunking feeding/sleeping societal myths

- Empowering each transition to motherhood in a non-judgmental & safe circle

- Building parental confidence & how to navigate through the differing parenting philosophies to then form your own.

The four week program is offered at the Flow Therapeutics building based on Fitzgerald Ave, Christchurch.

"We’ve just finished the five week baby massage course with Karla and have absolutely loved every minute of it! ❤️ We started when Lily was 4 weeks old and we found that it was a fantastic way to bond, and for me to get to know what she likes in terms of touch, whilst learning about other aspects of having a baby in a group of like-minded people. The group we were in was full of other Mums and babies who were all super friendly, and who were all open about their own experiences - both good and bad. Karla made the class a safe space to talk about anything baby related, and was massively supportive throughout the whole of our time together."

"My baby and I are currently attending baby massage classes and loving it! At the second session we were taught colic strokes to help with tummy troubles. Since then I’ve been doing them daily as needed. Earlier this week we had a bunch of upsets thanks to early teething (which also caused her to not latch well and take in more air while feeding) she was clearly experiencing tummy pain and was straining with no relief. On the bad tummy days when I did the colic strokes 5-10 minutes later she was happily farting and getting the poop out! It’s so good to know that when my daughter is in discomfort because of her tummy, I can do something to help. They’re super easy to slot into our nappy change routine! I plan to have baby massage as a part of our daily routine and I’m so happy I signed up to attend."
